Back after several years in Europe, the award-winning Alana Macpherson Nonet returns to the Ellington Jazz Club. Combining elements of contemporary jazz, free jazz, and heavy rock, this ensemble delivers stunning melodies, floating textures and hard-hitting grooves. In 2018 this large ensemble took out the WAM “Best Live Jazz Act” award, and the title track of their debut album “All or Nothing At All” won the 2019 international Downbeat Student Music Award for “Best Large Ensemble Arrangement”. Featuring some of Perth’s finest musicians, this is a night not to be missed.
