Laura Bernay is a sensational singer, flautist and pianist. Her repetoire is ecelctic and far-reaching, covering the genres of jazz and cabaret to calssical and world music. Her formidable talents have taken her all around Australia, performing in some of the best cabaret and jazz venues.
Her international profile is extensive, with decades spent performing in Japan, The Middle East, USA and Europe. Born in the U.S.A with a French-Canadian background and married to a Frenchman, she is fluent in French, making her a totally convincing, charming and captivating chanteuse. Her French shows are of the highest standard and show an authentic flair for the style.
Laura’s extraordinary versatility has seen her perform with WA Opera, Art Song Perth and Opera in Company. She then turned to world music which led to her time as lead singer for The Last Five Coins,specialising in music from the cafes and villages of Europe. Together they performed at The National Folk Festival (Canberra), The Fairbridge Folk Festival (WA) and Kulcha in Fremantle, as well as returning to the world of jazz and cabaret.
